J. R. Plastic

Our shop is at unit number 16 in the Shree Krishna Estate. If you know the industrial area, you know it gets pretty dusty and busy during the middle of the day. J. R. Plastic is one of those places where there is always a machine running or someone moving a pallet. We have been in this estate for a good bit of time. The space isn't huge, but we make it work by stacking things high toward the ceiling. You have to be careful walking through the rows sometimes. We do all our plastic work right here. It’s noisy and smells like warm materials most of the time, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy office upstairs, just a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes the power flutters when the bigger units next door start their engines, but we just wait a second and get back to it. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. The guys here have been together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get things done. We grab lunch under the tree outside when it’s not too hot. We don't spend money on marketing or big banners. People in the estate just know where unit 16 is. It’s just us doing our daily rounds in the estate. We usually finish up when the sun starts setting and the estate starts to get quiet.
