Girish Industries

Talking about the factory area, it's busy here in Shahibaug. We spend most of our time at 27, Dhanlaxmi Ind. Estate. It's right near the Police Commissioners Office, so you can't really miss it. The area is always loud with other workshops running their machines. We started out small and stayed that way, just focusing on getting the work done. Some days the traffic on the main road makes it hard for trucks to get in, but we manage. The staff here has been around for a long time. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just grease and metal. Sometimes people get lost looking for the entrance, so we tell them to look for the big gate near the office. It’s a practical space. We keep the tools organized as much as we can, though things get messy when we have a big order to finish. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here because of the location. It's an old part of the city, and the buildings show their age, but the electricity is mostly reliable. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for parts to arrive. It’s just how it goes here. There’s always someone coming by to ask for something small. We help out where we can. That’s pretty much life at Girish Industries. We have some heavy machinery that takes up most of the floor space.
