J. B. Tubes

Our place is Plot No. 60 in the GIDC area. It’s a pretty standard industrial plot, surrounded by other factories and warehouses that look a lot like ours. At J. B. Tubes, we spend the majority of our time dealing with metal and pipes. There’s always the clanging of tubes being moved around and the hum of the overhead fans. The office part of the building is small, just a desk and some old chairs where we keep the invoices and logs. Most of the action is out on the main floor. It gets quite hot in the summer because of the metal roof, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We’ve got a small crew here, and everyone knows what they’re doing. We aren't big on fancy meetings or long presentations. We just look at what needs to be shipped out and get to work loading it up. The GIDC roads are always a bit bumpy and full of trucks, which is just part of being in this location. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when a big shipment comes in, but we eventually get it all sorted out. It’s a honest way to earn a living, working with materials that go into bigger projects elsewhere. We just show up, do the work, and keep things moving as best as we can every day.
