Advantach Refractories is located at 12/1 in the GIDC area of Kadi, up in Mehsana district. It’s a very industrial setting, which is perfect for what we do with refractories. If you've never been to Kadi, it’s a place where a lot of manufacturing happens. Our daily life involves a lot of heat and heavy materials. We make things that go into furnaces and kilns, so the environment isn't exactly a clean office with white carpets. It’s a bit dusty and the work is hard on the hands, but it’s what we are used to. We have a crew that’s been working together for years, so we all know the routine without having to talk about it too much. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the temperatures in the shop get too intense. We aren't into fancy labels or corporate titles much. Everyone just pitches in where they are needed, whether it’s moving bricks or checking the temperature of a batch. It’s the kind of place where you learn by doing. We’ve had this spot in the GIDC for a long time and we’ve seen plenty of other businesses come and go. We just stay focused on our own yard and making sure the orders are ready when the trucks come to pick them up. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what keeps the lights on and the families fed, and we’re happy with that. We just keep the production moving every day.
