Flora Machinery & Services (P) Ltd. is tucked away at 22/23 Radhika Shopping Centre in Ghodasar. We are right under the Cadila Bridge, which is a big landmark around here, and close to the Radhika Bunglows. Working under a bridge means it stays a bit cooler in the shade, but the rumbling of the trucks overhead is something you just get used to. We deal with various machines and provide services for them when they break down or need a tune-up. The shop is filled with tools, spare parts, and half-disassembled engines. It’s a bit of a mess to an outsider, but we know exactly where every wrench and bolt is kept. My partner and I started this after working in bigger factories for a long time. We wanted to do things our own way, without all the corporate rules and meetings. Most of our days are spent with grease on our hands, trying to figure out why a particular pump isn't working or why a motor is making a weird noise. We don't have a big sales team; usually, it's just one of us answering the phone while the other is busy with a repair. People from the nearby industrial areas know they can drop off their equipment and we’ll give it a look. It’s honest work that requires a lot of patience. We just keep at it until the job is done right.
