The Bopal area has grown a lot lately, and we are right in the middle of it at A-10 in Abhishek Society. It’s near the India Colony part of Ahmedabad. We don’t have a flashy office with a glass front. It is just a regular building where we show up every morning. Inside, there are some desks and old chairs that have seen better days. We handle the day-to-day stuff for Essar from this spot. It gets quite hot in the summer, so the fan is always on high speed. We usually start the day with some tea from the stall down the road. It isn't a corporate environment at all. We just sit together, talk about the work that needs finishing, and get to it. Some of the neighbors have been here as long as we have. We know the postman and the guy who comes to fix the lights. It feels like a local spot because that is exactly what it is. We don’t have any fancy brochures or big mission statements on the wall. The only thing on the walls are some calendars and maybe a few notes taped up so we don’t forget things. People in Bopal are busy, and we are too. We just keep our heads down and do what is required. It is a simple, no-nonsense kind of place. If you are looking for us, we are just past the main colony gate.
