You will find this branch of Essar Steel Ltd. over in Shyam Nagar Society, near the Kakara Khadi in Bilimora. We are tucked behind the Shantinagar Township in the Gandevi Taluka. It is a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the main highway, but it is a good, quiet spot for us to work. Being near the khadi means we get a bit of a breeze, though it can get quite damp during the monsoon. Our office is a modest space within the society, nothing too fancy or modern. We handle the local logistics and coordination for the Navsari district from here. Most of the people working here are from the surrounding villages or Bilimora town itself. We do not use any corporate jargon or big speeches. We just focus on the steel orders and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. The office is often a bit cluttered with ledgers and samples, but we know where everything is. We take our work seriously but we do not act like we are better than anyone else. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when the weather is nice to talk about the day’s tasks. We are just a small part of a bigger company, doing our best in this little corner of Gujarat to keep things running smoothly. It is just a job, but we do it well enough and try to be helpful.
