If you head out via Thaltej and keep going toward Palodiya Village, you’ll find us at Survey No 72. Electrotherm has been operating in this area for quite some time now. It’s a large site because the kind of work we do needs a lot of room. We have big furnaces and a lot of equipment for heating and processing metal. It can get incredibly hot inside the plant, and the noise is something you never really get used to, even after years of being here. The village setting is a bit quieter than the city, but once you step onto our grounds, it’s all industrial. We have workers coming in from all the nearby areas, some on bikes and some on the company bus. It’s a serious environment because of the heat and the heavy machinery we use every day. We don't spend much time making the place look pretty for visitors; it’s a working site, and it looks like one. There’s always maintenance to be done or something that needs a bit of grease. We keep a lot of logs and paperwork because you have to when you're dealing with this much power and heat. It’s not a fancy office job, that’s for sure. We’re just out here in Palodiya, running the equipment and making sure the metal stays moving through the lines. It’s a long day for everyone, but we just keep at it because the work doesn't do itself.
