Electropltaing & Polishing Works

Electroplating & Polishing Works is an old-school workshop located at 1917, near Khadia Char Rasta on Gandhi Road. This is one of the older parts of the city and our shop fits right in. We deal with metal finishing, which is a messy and loud business. You’ll usually hear the sound of polishing machines running as soon as you get near the door. The place is filled with the smell of metal and cleaning solutions, which we’ve grown used to over the decades. We take in old metal pieces that have lost their shine and try to make them look decent again. It’s hard work and your hands stay dirty most of the day. Gandhi Road is always packed with people and rickshaws, so it’s a very lively place to work. Our shop isn't big and it’s definitely not polished itself—the walls have seen better days. But we have all the tanks and equipment we need to do the job right. We’ve been serving local businesses and people around Khadia for a long time. We don't have a website or do any social media stuff. People just know we are here because we’ve been here forever. It’s just a small shop where we work with our hands and try to keep the old trade going in a changing city. We take pride in seeing a dull piece of brass or steel start to gleam again after we finish with it.
