Our place, Janki Metal Strips Pvt. Ltd., is out on the Dholka-Kheda Highway in Rampur, specifically at Plot No. 904-905. Being out on the highway means we get a lot of trucks passing by all the time. We handle metal strips and related processing work. It’s a bigger space than some of the shops inside the city estates, which is good because we need the room for the inventory. The sun can get really bright out here on the highway, and the dust from the road sometimes blows into the yard. We just keep working through it. We aren't some corporate giant; we are just a group of people making sure the metal gets processed and shipped out correctly. We don't use any slick sales talk. If we have the stock, we tell you, and if we don't, we tell you that too. The office is just a simple room with some chairs and a desk where we handle the paperwork. Most of the action happens out on the floor where the metal is stacked. It’s a straightforward business and we try to keep it that way. We've been at this Rampur location for a bit and we've gotten used to the rhythm of the highway. It’s a lot of loading and unloading, but it’s what we do. We usually start early before the traffic gets heavy. It's just the way things are out here on the road.
