Dhanlaxmi Tubes & Metal Industries is way out in Changodar Ind. Estate-Ii. We are located at Block No. 382 and we have some space in Sub Block No. 74/85 too. Being in Taluka-Sanand means it’s quite a trip from the main city but this is where all the big industrial work happens. Our place is full of long metal tubes and heavy pipes. It’s a loud environment because of the machines and the trucks moving in and out of the estate. We wear our work clothes and spend the day moving heavy stock around or cutting things to size. It’s not a desk job at all. We are mostly on our feet on the factory floor. The sun really beats down on the corrugated roof in the summer and it gets very warm inside. We have a small area where we keep the books and the phone but most of the action is out back. We’ve been working in the metal industry for years and we’ve seen the estate grow a lot. It’s a tough business and you have to be careful with the machinery. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything. We just do the work and load the trucks when they arrive. It’s a long day usually starting very early and ending when the last load is gone. We just keep our heads down and work until the evening siren sounds.
