Our shop is over at Sunita Apartments, taking up units six and seven. We are right near the Jaihind School cross road, so we hear the school bell and the kids every day. It’s a familiar part of the neighborhood. The business has been around for quite a while, and the name on the board is a bit of a local landmark now. Inside, it’s mostly just piles of goods and a few desks where we handle the accounts. We don’t really go in for any modern office designs; we kept things pretty much the same as they were years ago. It feels more comfortable that way. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Dealing with the daily stock and keeping the books balanced takes up most of our time. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy near the entrance, but we just put down some mats and carry on. It’s a family-style environment where everyone chips in. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just open up in the morning, handle the customers, and close when the work is finished. It’s a steady life, and we like being part of this community near the school. The traffic at the cross road can be a pain, but you get used to it after a few years.
