Datta & Datta Associates

Navrangpura is always crowded, but Snehshilp Apartment stays relatively quiet once you get inside the gate. We are in unit 101, right in Swastik Society. Datta & Datta Associates has been working out of this space for quite some time now. The office has that lived-in feel, where you know exactly which drawer squeaks and where the light switch is hidden behind the filing cabinet. We don't have a big reception area with a coffee machine. Usually, if someone comes by, we just pull up a plastic chair and talk over the desk. Working in Ahmedabad means you get used to the dust and the noise from the street, but in our little corner of Navrangpura, it feels okay. Our team is small, just a few people who have worked together long enough to know each other’s lunch habits. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at the keyboards. It is mostly quiet work, punctuated by the occasional argument about where to order snacks from. We keep our files organized as best we can, though some days the paperwork seems to have a mind of its own. It’s just a practical place to get work done. We are close to the main road but tucked away just enough to focus. There isn't much to say other than we are here every day, doing what we do, and trying to keep up with the schedule. It is just a simple life in the city.
