Living and working in Amreli is just different than being in a big city. Everything moves a little slower here, which is fine by us. D L Pharma is basically just a small spot where we keep the essentials. We don’t have a fancy glass front or big neon signs. It’s just a counter, some wooden shelves, and a lot of record books where we write everything down by hand. Some people say we should use more computers, but the old way works just fine for what we do. Dust is a constant battle because of the dry air around here. I spend at least twenty minutes every morning just wiping down the counters before anyone shows up. My brother helps me out when the harvest season is over and things get a bit busier in town. We know most of our customers by name since we’ve lived in Amreli our whole lives. It’s a lot of talking about the weather and family while we pull boxes from the back. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed because the truck got stuck somewhere, and we just have to wait it out. There’s no point stressing about things you can’t change. We close up around seven and head home for dinner. It’s a simple routine, day in and day out. We just try to keep enough stock so nobody has to travel too far for what they need.
