Contech Instruments

Contech Instruments is tucked away at 105 in Sakar V. That's right behind where the old Natraj Cinema used to be, just off Ashram Road. Ashram Road is always a mess with traffic, so being a little bit back from the main street helps with the noise, though you still hear the honking all day. The building is one of those typical Ahmedabad commercial blocks from a few years back. We’ve been here for a bit now. Inside the office, it's just the usual stuff—desks, a few computers, and a whole lot of technical manuals stacked up. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage to fit everything. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights out front. Most people who come here already know where they are going. We spend most of our time dealing with the instruments and talking to people on the phone. It’s not the kind of place where people just browse around. It’s more of a functional spot for business. Sometimes the elevator in Sakar V acts up, so we just take the stairs. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight of the afternoon. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everything is sorted out before we head home for the evening. It’s a simple operation, really.
