Cheharkrupa Steel

We are over at Shop No. 7 in the Pushpak Estate, which is part of Phase 1 in Vatva Gidc. If you know where Neeka Tube Chokdi is, we are just a short distance from there. Being in Vatva Gidc means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories. There is always the sound of hammers or machines in the background. Our shop is just one unit in a long row of similar places. We keep the front shutter open most of the day to let in some light. It gets a bit dusty with all the trucks moving around the estate. Inside, Cheharkrupa Steel is mostly just rows of material and a small area where we sit down to talk to people. We have an old calendar on the wall that is a few months behind sometimes. We don't worry too much about the decor. It is a place for work, not for showing off. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and making sure we have what people are looking for. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks. It’s a simple way of living. We know the other shop owners in Pushpak Estate and we look out for each other. It's a busy industrial life but it suits us just fine. We don't have any big meetings or corporate stuff to deal with. We just open up in the morning and do what needs to be done. Sometimes we stay late if a big truck arrives.
