Our office is located at 9 Shrinagar Society, which is on Sardar Patel Stadium Road in Navrangpura. We are right opposite the Golden Triangle building, so it’s fairly easy to give directions to people coming in for interviews. We’ve been operating out of this Ahmedabad location for quite a while now. The main thing we do is help people find jobs and help companies find staff. The office is usually full of resumes and folders. It’s a bit of a maze of desks and chairs. We have a small waiting area for candidates, but it often gets full, so people end up standing in the hallway. The phones ring pretty much all day long. Navrangpura is a busy area, so there’s always the sound of horns and traffic outside. We don’t have any polished marketing materials; we just use what works to get people placed in the right spots. Sometimes the printer jams when we’re in a hurry, which can be frustrating. We all take turns making tea in the afternoon to keep us going. It’s a small team, and we know each other well. We don't put on any acts for the people who come in. We just talk to them honestly about what jobs are available and what they can expect from them. It’s a busy, somewhat messy, but honest way to earn a living in this city. We just keep at it day after day without much fuss.
