We are Shivam Infonet and we work out of the Dharmik Appt in Ghodasar. We are basically a small team that handles a USA process, which means a lot of us are here at our desks when the rest of Ahmedabad is fast asleep. Our office is at number 11, and it is very close to the Punitnagar railway crossing. You can hear the trains go by and the bells ringing all the time, especially during the quiet hours of the night. It is a bit of a strange life, working while it is pitch dark outside and then heading home for breakfast when everyone else is just starting their commute. We have our computers and headsets and we spend hours talking to people on the other side of the world about their technical issues. The office isn't very big or modern, but it fits us all well enough. We drink a lot of strong tea and instant coffee just to stay awake through the 3 AM slump. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power fluctuates, which is quite annoying when you are in the middle of a call, but we have learned to deal with those little hiccups. Ghodasar is a decent area to work in, though that crossing can get seriously backed up with traffic during the daylight hours. We have been doing this for a while now, just managing calls and trying to solve problems for people we will never see. It is steady work and it keeps us busy through the night.
