Our office is F/1 inside the Vikram Apartments building. We are based in the Ambawadi area of Ahmedabad. To find us easily, look for the railway crossing that is located nearby. You can hear the trains passing by several times throughout the day. It is a familiar sound that we have grown used to over the years. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to come and go. We have a few computers lined up along the walls with various wires running across the floor. To prevent anyone from tripping, we try to keep the cables taped down. The lighting in the back corner is a bit dim, so we use a small lamp there. It is a lived-in space that has a bit of its own character. We have been working from this apartment for quite a long time. Some old posters and scribbled notes are stuck to the walls here and there. Between the traffic and the trains, it is not the quietest place, but it works for us. Snacks are usually kept in a drawer for when the afternoon hunger hits. A small team of us handles everything that needs to be done. We don't do anything for show; it is just a functional workspace. Parking out front is mainly for residents, so we use the side street. We just keep our heads down and work. The doorbell rings too loudly, but it definitely lets us know someone is here.
