Bhagvati Metal Industries

Bhagvati Metal Industries is over at C-35 in the G.I.D.C. Estate in Odhav. Being in the G.I.D.C. means we are surrounded by all kinds of other factories and workshops. It’s a gritty, busy part of town, which suits the kind of work we do. We handle metal, and that usually involves a lot of cutting, bending, and some heavy lifting. The shop floor isn't somewhere you’d want to wear your best clothes. There’s usually some metal shavings on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. We’ve been at this Odhav address for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around us. We don't have a big corporate structure or any of that. It’s mostly just the owner and a small crew of workers who know what they’re doing. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just work with metal and try to finish the jobs we’ve been given. The office is small and mostly filled with old files and a computer that’s seen better days. It doesn't matter much because most of the real work happens out back anyway. During the summer, it gets incredibly hot in the shed, but we’re used to it. We just drink plenty of water and keep the machines running. We’re just a regular metal shop trying to do honest work in the Odhav industrial area.
