Bachpan A Play School

You can find us over at Akik Tower, right on the highway in Bodakdev. Being in a place like Ahmedabad, everything moves fast, but here at Bachpan A Play School, we try to keep things at a pace that works for small children. The 106 unit isn't huge, but it’s packed with toys and mats and all the things toddlers need. The Bodakdev area is quite busy, so parents are often in a rush when they drop their kids off in the morning. We spend our days dealing with spilled snacks, messy drawings, and a lot of noise. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean or quiet. The staff here are mostly local women who have been with us for a while and know how to handle a room full of energetic three-year-olds. We don't have any fancy brochures or big marketing teams. Most people find us just by walking past the tower or hearing about us from a neighbor. The rooms have bright colors on the walls, mostly because we painted them ourselves a few years back. It’s a bit cluttered sometimes with all the blocks and books, but that’s just how a play school should be. We just focus on making sure the kids are safe and have something to do until their parents come back in the afternoon. It’s practical, everyday work that keeps us busy from Monday to Friday.
