We are set up in Ahmedabad, over in Gujarat. The city is always humming with noise and people moving about. Our center is one of those places where the lights are usually on because there is always some kind of knowledge work or data to handle. It is a bit of a mix here; we have people working on all sorts of different tasks on their computers. Ahmedabad gets really hot, especially in the middle of the year, so we spend a lot of time indoors with the AC running. The office is pretty straightforward, just rows of desks and people with headsets or typing away. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy decorations. It’s a practical space. We handle a lot of information for different groups, and it requires a fair bit of focus. Sometimes the shifts are long, and you see the same faces day in and day out. It’s a good group of people though. We mostly just stick to our work and try to get the numbers right. There’s always someone coming or going since the city never really seems to stop. We’ve been operating here in Gujarat for a while and have seen the area change a lot. It’s just a standard business office where we take care of the tasks we’re given. It’s not glamorous, but it is what we do, and we’ve gotten pretty used to the rhythm of the work here.
