Asiatic Colour-Chem Ind. Ltd.

We've been at Phase-1 in Naroda G.I.D.C for quite a while now. If you know this part of Ahmedabad, you know it gets pretty busy with all the trucks coming in and out. Asiatic Colour-Chem Ind. Ltd. is basically just us working out of 306A and those units at 1503-4. It's an industrial area, so there’s always noise and a bit of dust, but that’s just how it is here. We deal with chemicals and colors. It isn't fancy work. Most days are spent checking batches or making sure the drums are lined up right for transport. The office isn't anything special, just desks and some old files, but it works for what we do. People around here know us as the folks who stay late when there's a big order to get out. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the only place we get a break. We started small and just kept going. There isn't some big secret to it, we just show up and do the jobs as they come in. Sometimes the machinery acts up or a delivery gets delayed by traffic on the main road, but we manage. You learn to deal with the heat in Naroda after a few summers. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping track of the inventory. We don't spend much time on fancy talk, just making sure the products are ready when someone needs them. That’s pretty much the whole story of us being here.
