Asian Tubes Limited (C.R.Divison)

Our division is out in Shethwas, Kalol, which is part of the Gandhinagar district. It’s more of an industrial setting here than the city. We work with cold rolled tubes, which means there’s a lot of heavy lifting and the sound of metal moving around all day. The dust can get a bit much during the dry months in Gujarat, but we’re used to it by now. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning in every corner; it’s a working site. We have our routines, starting early before the sun gets too hot. Most of the guys here live nearby, so there’s a real sense of community in the plant. We don't spend money on glossy brochures. We just make the tubes and load them onto the trucks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generators to kick in, which gives everyone a chance to grab some water and chat. It’s a practical environment. We deal with a lot of suppliers and drivers. The roads around Kalol can be rough on the vehicles, so we spend a fair bit of time coordinating logistics. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, we just want to get the day's production done without any accidents or mistakes. It’s steady work and it keeps a lot of families in the area going. We've been doing this for a long time now.
