Somnath Steel

Our workshop is at 119 Gf, Block No B. We are right opposite the Dariyapur Darwaja, specifically at Sp No 31/1. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there is always the sound of metal moving or machines running somewhere nearby. Somnath Steel isn't a showroom. It’s a place where we handle the heavy stuff. The floors are concrete and usually have some dust or metal shavings on them. We don’t wear suits here. It’s more about boots and work clothes. The entrance is wide enough for the trucks to get close, which is necessary for what we do. We’ve got a small office partitioned off in one corner where we keep the computer and the bills, but most of the time we are out on the floor. It gets hot in the summer, especially with all the metal around, so we keep a few big fans going. It’s noisy, it’s a bit messy, and it’s a lot of physical labor. We’ve been across from the Darwaja for a while now. The location is good for getting things in and out. Most of the people around here are doing similar work, so we all know the routine. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the steel is moved safely. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We don't have time for much else besides getting the jobs finished.
