Ashram Road is always a mess with traffic, especially near the old RBI building. Our office at Chitra A. M. I. Apartment is on the ground floor, specifically units 3 and 4. We spend a lot of time here just dealing with the daily grind of shipments and paperwork. It is not a fancy place at all, just some desks, old computers, and a few chairs for when people stop by. We started this because we knew the trade well enough to make a go of it ourselves. Some days are slow and quiet, while others are a bit of a headache with all the customs forms and shipping delays. We usually have tea from the little stall around the corner around 4 PM every day. It’s just how things go here in this part of town. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few local people who know what they are doing and don’t need much managing. Most of the time we are just checking lists or making phone calls to suppliers. The weather gets really hot in the afternoons, but the fans keep things moving enough to work. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some businesses came and went, but we stayed put here in these two units. It is a practical setup for what we do, and we don’t need anything flashy. If you ever walk by Ashram Road, you’ll see our small sign.
