Arth Technocast

Biju Kurian is the one in charge over here at Arth Technocast. It is the kind of place where you expect to see some dirt on the floor and a bit of heat coming from the back. Casting metal isn't exactly a clean job, so we just get used to the environment. The machines have their own sound and you can tell if things are running right just by listening to them. We spend a lot of time looking at molds and checking the parts that come out. It takes some patience because things don't always go right on the first try. We have a small area where we keep the finished pieces and it fills up pretty quick. Biju is usually walking around checking on different things or talking to the guys about a specific job. We don’t have much use for long meetings or anything like that. We just talk while we work. The coffee isn't great, but it keeps us going in the afternoons. Sometimes the heat gets to be a lot, especially in the middle of the summer, but we just drink more water and keep at it. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve been at this for a while and we know the quirks of the equipment. Most days are about getting through the list and making sure the metal is poured right. We aren't trying to impress anyone, we just want to do the job well.
