Our office is over at No. 601 in the Safal Preludem building. It is right off Corporate Road in Prahladnagar, which is a place with a lot of cars and tall glass buildings. Even though the name sounds very big and formal, the day-to-day work here is just us sitting at desks and dealing with steel distribution. We spend hours on the phone talking to trucks and making sure the metal gets where it needs to go across India. The coffee machine in the corner breaks down at least once a week, so we usually just go downstairs for tea. The sunlight hits the windows hard in the afternoon, making it quite bright inside. We have some files stacked up that we really should organize better. It’s just regular people working here, trying to keep up with all the orders coming in. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy but we sort it out eventually. If you come by, the elevator is sometimes slow so you have to wait a bit in the lobby. Prahladnagar has changed a lot lately with new shops opening up everywhere. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, watching the traffic get worse on Corporate Road. It’s just a standard distribution office where we handle the logistics and try to stay on top of the schedule. No one wears suits much unless there is a specific reason.
