Anokhi Chocolate

You’ll find Anokhi Chocolate at K 7 in the Komal Enclave. We are on P T College Road in Paldi. It’s a nice little spot, right behind the Shantivan Bus Stop. You can usually smell the chocolate if you're standing nearby. We aren't a big factory with conveyor belts. It’s more of a kitchen setup where we mix and pour things by hand. The temperature has to be just right, or the chocolate doesn't set properly, so we spend a lot of time fussing with the cooling. It’s sticky work. There’s always cocoa powder on the floor and sugar on the counters. We make different kinds of treats. Some have nuts, some are plain. We don't have fancy packaging machines, so a lot of it is wrapped by us while we talk about our day. It’s a quiet business compared to the shops on the main road. Students from the college walk by all the time. Sometimes they pop in to see what we’re making. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just know us because they live in the neighborhood or take the bus from Shantivan. It’s just a small group of us here. We like the smell of the place, even after working here for years. It’s just us making sweets in a small corner of Paldi. We just keep our chocolate simple and our days regular. It works well for us.
