If you head over to the Kric Campus in Kalol, you’ll find us right there in the middle of it. This part of Gandhinagar has its own pace, a bit quieter than the main city but still busy enough during the week. The school itself is spread out across the campus grounds. We have students coming in from nearby villages and the local Kalol neighborhoods. Every morning starts with the sound of cycles and scooters pulling up. The classrooms are simple, with fans spinning overhead to catch whatever breeze they can. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations; most of the walls just have some old charts or student drawings pinned up. The teachers here mostly focus on getting through the syllabus before the big exams come around. We have a lot of space for the kids to run around during their free time, which is good because they have plenty of energy. The weather in Gujarat can get pretty dry, so the ground is often a bit brown, but we don't mind much. It’s a practical place to be. We handle the paperwork, deal with the occasional broken window, and keep the water coolers filled. It’s just how a school in a place like Kalol operates. People know us by name, and we know most of the families who send their children here. It’s a steady, everyday kind of life on the Kric Campus.
