Amrut School

Amrut School is tucked away at 15, Cantonment in the Shahibaug area. Being in the Cantonment means it is a bit quieter than the rest of the city. There are more trees around here and the roads are generally wider and cleaner. The school itself is an older property. It has a bit of a relaxed feel to it because of the surroundings. You don't hear as many horns honking or the general city noise. We have a decent amount of space, and the building is spread out enough so it doesn't feel cramped. The classrooms are airy, which is nice during the hotter months. We have a lot of long-time staff members who have basically made this place their second home. They know every corner of the grounds. It’s not a place with shiny glass walls or high-tech gadgets at every turn. It is more about the old-fashioned way of doing things. We have a small garden area that we try to look after, though the weeds sometimes get ahead of us. People who live in Shahibaug know the address well. It’s a familiar landmark for many. Every day follows a set pattern, from the first bell to the final one in the afternoon. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the building stays in good shape for the next generation. It’s a quiet, steady kind of place to work and be.
