Amrut Machine Tools

We operate out of 4/B, Dhawalgiri Apartments in the Khanpur area. It’s an older residential building, so it doesn't really look like a place of business from the outside. You have to walk through the main gate and past the watchman’s stool to find our unit. Amrut Machine Tools is mostly just two rooms that we’ve filled with our equipment and some heavy metal desks. The tiles on the floor are a bit cracked in places where we’ve dropped heavy parts over the years. We try to keep the noise down out of respect for the families living in the other apartments, but sometimes the grinding or tapping can’t be helped. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which is a nice change from the main roads. Our office window looks out onto a small courtyard with a few trees. We have an old computer that takes a long time to start up, so we usually put the kettle on while we wait. There are catalogs and technical manuals piled up on every available surface. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than three people in the room at once. We don't have any fancy signage, just a small plate on the door with the company name. Most of our work is done on the bench under the bright lamp. It’s a humble spot, but we’ve made it our own over the years we have been here.
