Ambica Metals

Ambica Metals is located at 986, Lalabhaini Pole, right inside Mandvini Pole in the Manek Chowk area. If you have ever been to the old city, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are always moving around there. It is a very historic part of town, and our building has been here for a very long time. We deal with various metal goods, and our shop is often filled with the sound of metal clinking as we move our stock around. It is a tight space inside, so we have to be very careful when we are moving things so we don’t hit the old walls or each other. I have worked here since I was a young man, following in the footsteps of my elders who ran the place before me. The smells of the market, like the street food and the old city dust, are something I have grown to love over the years. Manek Chowk is famous for many different things, and we are just one small part of that big ecosystem. We don’t have a fancy office or computerized systems for everything we do. We mostly use paper notebooks to keep track of what we buy and what we sell to the customers. It works fine for us, even if it seems a bit old-fashioned to some people today. The humidity can be tough in the monsoon season, but we just keep the doors open and keep working through it. It’s a busy life, but we like the pace of it.
