You can find us over at 58, Suvan Business Complex. This building is tucked inside the Soma Textile Mill Compound, which is near Kewal Kanta Road in the Rakhial area. It is an old part of the city and it has a lot of character, though it can get quite crowded with all the trucks and rickshaws moving through the narrow gates. We deal with stainless steel products here. Most of our space is filled with stacks of sheets and pipes. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We do not spend much time on fancy computers, except for when we have to check an invoice or send a quick email. Usually, we are out in the storage area checking the stock levels. The air in Rakhial is always a bit heavy with the smell of industry, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We started this because we knew a bit about the steel trade and just kept at it. There are about six or seven of us working here on a regular basis. We drink our tea together in the mornings before the first deliveries arrive. We do not have a big mission statement or anything promotional to say. We just sell stainless steel to people who need it for their projects or their own shops. Sometimes the loading takes longer than we expect because the compound gets blocked by other vehicles. We just wait it out and get the work done. Our office walls are covered in calendars and old delivery notes.
