Abc Blocks Play School

We are tucked away at 1 Kirti Bunglows on Chankyapuri Road in the Chandlodiya area of Ahmedabad. The school is basically a converted bungalow, so it feels a lot like a home. There is a small front area where parents park their scooters when they bring the kids in the morning. Inside, the rooms are painted in bright colors and filled with blocks, hence the name. We have carpets on the floors where the children sit to play and listen to stories. It’s a noisy place most of the morning with toddlers talking and laughing or sometimes crying if they miss home. The kitchen in the back is used to get snacks ready for the little ones. Our furniture is all scaled down to fit small children. There’s a certain smell of crayons and floor cleaner that stays in the air. The staff here are mostly local women who have been working with kids for years. It isn’t a high-end corporate facility, just a practical neighborhood play school. We have some outdoor play equipment that’s seen better days but the kids still love it. Sometimes the neighbors might hear the music during our morning sessions. It is a very casual environment where we focus on just getting through the day with a bunch of happy children. People in Chandlodiya know where we are because we’ve been here for a good while now. It’s just a simple, local spot for the neighborhood.
