Aaraa Play School

Aaraa Play School is tucked away in Juhapura, specifically in the A-6 unit of the U Need Apartment complex. It’s a bit unusual having a school inside an apartment building, but it makes it feel very much like a home. The kids come from the nearby blocks on Sarkhej Road. We have a small space where they can play with plastic blocks and look at picture books. The floor is covered with colorful mats so the little ones don't hurt themselves when they trip, which happens quite often. It gets a bit cluttered with all the toys and bags piled up in the corners. There is usually a lot of chatter and the occasional tantrum when it's time for a nap. We try to keep a routine, but with toddlers, things rarely go exactly as planned. The walls are decorated with drawings the kids made, mostly just scribbles that we taped up. Parents usually stop by the gate and hand over their children before heading off to their own jobs. It's a busy little spot during the day, then it gets very quiet once everyone goes home in the afternoon. The apartment residents are used to the noise of the kids playing by now. It’s just a simple, local place for families in the Juhapura area. There aren't any big fancy playgrounds, but the children seem to find plenty of ways to keep themselves entertained with what we have here. It's just how we run things in this little corner of Ahmedabad.
