A G Vidhyalaya

Being out here on the Bavla Bagodra Highway means we see a lot of trucks and cars passing by all day long. A G Vidhyalaya is a place for the kids from around Bavla and the nearby villages to come and learn their subjects. The school building stands out against the open fields nearby. It’s not a quiet place because of the highway noise, but the students are used to it by now. Inside, the rooms are basic. We have rows of benches and windows that let in the Ahmedabad heat during the summer months. Most of the staff comes in from the city or surrounding areas every morning. We start early before it gets too hot. There is a small area where students wait for their rides or buses after the final bell. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the doors wider to catch a breeze. We don’t have a lot of extra stuff, just the essentials for a school day. The playground is mostly just dirt and some grass, but it works for a quick game during recess. Parents often stop by on their way to work to check in on things. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get through the gates at once. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the kids are in their seats and doing their work as they should.
