Yapral High School sits out in Jaitpur, which is a bit of a way out in the Agra area. It’s a quiet spot compared to the noisy city center. We have a few buildings where the older kids come for their daily classes. It’s a pretty basic setup for a school. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. Most of our students come from the nearby villages and farms. The walk to school can be quite long for some of them, so they are usually tired when they get here. We have a small yard where they stand for assembly in the mornings before the sun gets too high. You can hear the teachers' voices carrying across the halls during the quiet parts of the day. The building is older, with some cracks here and there in the walls, but it stays cool enough for the kids to study. We spend our days making sure the kids stay on track with their books and exams. There's a lot of paperwork to handle in the main office, which is usually a bit of a mess with stacks of old files and registers. We aren't trying to be the biggest school around, just a place for the local kids to get their high school education without having to travel too far into Agra city. It’s a bit dusty on the roads leading up to our gate. Life moves a bit slower out here in Jaitpur. We just show up, do the teaching, and head home when the day is done.
