If you look for Lakkhi Gali in Gokul Pura, you will find us there. Verma Overseas operates out of this narrow lane. It is the kind of place where everyone knows their neighbors. The mornings start early around here. We get the keys, open up the space, and start going through the list of what needs to happen. Working in Gokul Pura has its own rhythm. The streets are a bit tight, so you have to be careful when moving stuff in or out. It’s not a corporate office park or anything like that. It’s just a practical place to get things done. We deal with overseas stuff, which means a lot of checking and re-checking details so nothing goes wrong. The walls in the office could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We have some old desks and chairs that have been with us since the beginning. It feels like home to most of us by now. Sometimes the heat in the summer gets a bit much, but we have our fans going. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s a simple setup at Lakkhi Gali. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. People who know us just come to the door. It’s how we have always done it.
