Over at 481 Civil Lines, you'll find us at Harsh Export. It's a solid building, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it works for us. We've been operating out of this spot for a while. The space is filled with whatever we are preparing to send out that week. You can usually hear the sound of tape dispensers and people moving crates around. We aren't big on fancy titles or anything. Everyone just helps out where they can. If the floor needs sweeping, one of us does it. If a big delivery comes in, we all stop what we're doing to help unload. The traffic on the road can be a bit much during rush hour, so we try to get our transport sorted early. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait a bit to send emails, which gives us a chance to actually talk to each other. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s our place. Most of our neighbors know us by name. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. We just keep the doors open and get through the work. By the time we head home, the place is usually quiet again, ready for us to start over the next day. It’s a simple routine that we’ve stuck with for years now.
