Varuni Herbal Beauty Palace

Varuni Herbal Beauty Palace is at 6 Shikha Market on Pushpanjali Bagh Road. We are right in the Dayal Bagh area of Agra. The market is a local spot where people do their daily shopping. It’s not a fancy shopping center, just a row of shops that serve the people living around here. Our place is simple. We have the name on the front and a few chairs inside. We use a lot of herbal products, so there are always bowls and brushes sitting around. The floor is just plain stone, which stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it does its job. Most of our customers are women from the neighborhood who have been coming to us since we opened. They come in for things like henna or skin cleanups. We don’t have a big reception desk; we usually just talk to people while we’re working. The morning is usually slow, but it picks up after lunch when the housework is done. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps if there’s no one in the shop. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don’t use a lot of fancy equipment. Most of what we do is by hand. It’s hard work on your feet all day, but it’s good to see the same people every week and hear their stories while we work on their hair.
