The Oberoi Amarvilas,Agra

We are situated at the Tajmahal East Gate Road in Agra. The address is right there on the path that everyone takes to see the monument. Because we are so close to the East Gate, there is never a quiet moment during the day. You can hear the electric buses and the chatter of tourists from early in the morning. Our building is part of the Oberoi Amarvilas setup, and we spend our time managing the various needs of the place from this specific spot. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so someone is always cleaning the windows or the floors. It is a very busy environment to work in. We do not have much in the way of a private area, as things are always moving quickly. The heat in Agra can be really intense, especially in May and June, so we stay indoors as much as possible during the peak sun hours. We deal with a lot of local coordination and making sure the grounds are kept in order. It is not about sitting in a quiet office; it is more about being on your feet and reacting to what is happening outside the door. The view of the trees and the gate is nice, but we are usually too busy with the paperwork and the guest logistics to look out the window much. It is a very active place to be stationed.
