Hotel Sippy

Hotel Sippy is located at 37/207b Bundu Katra in Agra, which is 282001. We are right in the Main Bazar and sit directly across from the 509 Army Base Workshop. You can see the big gates of the workshop from our front door and there are always trucks and military vehicles moving around. The bazar is a very lively place with lots of small shops, so it gets quite crowded in the afternoons. Our hotel is a modest building tucked into this busy street. We have a few floors of rooms and a small entrance way. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who take turns watching the door and cleaning the rooms. We use simple cleaning supplies and try to keep the place looking decent. The furniture is a bit older and shows some wear, but it does the job. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and the people working at the workshop. It’s a very local atmosphere and we don't do anything corporate. Most people find us because they have work nearby or they are just passing through the market. We keep a ledger for all the names and we make sure the lights are turned off in the hallways during the day. There's a ceiling fan in the lobby that hums a bit when it's on the highest setting. We keep a few jugs of water for when people come in from the heat. The front door is usually open to let in some air and we sit nearby to greet people.
