Hotel Yamuna View, Formerly Hotel Agra Ashok, Agra, U.P.

We’re over at 21/126, C, in the Pullchinga Modi area of Lohamandi, right here in Agra. A lot of people still remember us by the old name, Hotel Agra Ashok, but we’ve been Hotel Yamuna View for some time now. The building has some years on it, and it’s got that lived-in feel that you don't find in the newer places. We’re not a five-star luxury spot, just a place for people to stay when they’re in town. The staff here is mostly local, and we’ve all been working together for years. We know the plumbing can be a bit temperamental sometimes and the stairs are a little steep, but we do our best to keep things tidy and comfortable. The neighborhood of Lohamandi is quite active, so there’s always something going on just outside the front door. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have our front desk and the rooms we look after. Most of our guests are people who’ve stayed with us before or heard about us from friends. It’s a simple business. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready and our evenings talking to whoever is passing through. We’re just a regular hotel trying to provide a decent place to rest without all the extra fluff you see in the big chains. It’s honest work and we enjoy being part of the community here in Agra.
