Hotel Kant

Hotel Kant sits right on Fatehabad Road in the Tourist Complex Area. I started working here a few years ago when the lobby still had those old wooden chairs. It’s a busy spot because of the location, but we try to keep things quiet inside. Most days, you’ll see the cleaning staff starting early, around 6 AM, because people like to get out and see the local sights before the heat gets too bad. We don't have fancy carpets or anything, just plain floors that are easy to mop. The building itself is older than most of the newer hotels popping up around here, but it holds up. My brother helps with the front desk sometimes when it gets crowded in the evenings. We get a lot of people just passing through for a night. The rooms are what you’d expect—beds, a small table, and a window. Sometimes the street noise from Fatehabad Road comes in, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep a stash of extra blankets in the back room for when it gets chilly. Usually, people ask about where to get tea, and there’s a small shop just down the street we always point them to. It’s a simple operation really. We don’t do big parties or anything like that. Just a place to sleep and wash up. I spend a lot of time fixing small things like leaky taps or loose door handles. It keeps me busy during the afternoons.
