You can find us over on Balkeshwar Road, right near the Kapda Mandir. We are very close to the Subzi Mandi, so the mornings here are incredibly loud and busy. The smell of fresh vegetables and the sound of vendors calling out is just part of our daily life. Our shop isn't very big, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We’ve got various kitchen items on display, mostly just on shelves we put up ourselves. It’s not a fancy gallery like the ones you see in shopping malls. It’s a local shop for local people. The floor is tiled, but it’s seen better days with all the people walking in and out. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors who just pop in for a chat. Sometimes we don't even talk about business. We talk about the weather or the price of onions at the mandi. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for people to come by. It’s a bit cramped inside when more than three people are there at once, but we manage. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while and we like being near the temple. It brings a nice energy to the street. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard when you're busy all day.
