Roop Shengaar Hair Saloon

We've been running Roop Shengaar Hair Saloon here in Rui Ki Mandi for quite some years now. If you know the Shah Ganj area in Agra, you know it gets pretty busy and loud around here most days. Our shop isn't anything fancy or modern, just a couple of chairs and some mirrors where we do our daily work. Most of the people who come in are locals who live just a few streets away. They drop by for a quick haircut or a shave while they are out running their daily errands. It is a very simple setup. We spend most of our morning setting things up, cleaning the hair off the floor from the day before, and getting the towels ready. The afternoon usually slows down a bit when the sun is high and it gets hot, so that is when we usually take a bit of a break. In the evenings, the pace picks up again. You can hear the traffic from the X-ing outside while we work. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know where we are because we’ve been here at this exact spot for a long time. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a little bit of noise, but they keep the place cool enough for everyone. We just focus on what the customer asks for, whether it's a trim or something else. It is just a regular part of life here in this part of Agra.
