Rihan Hair Cutting Saloon

The shop is right here on Jalesar Road in the Tedi Bagiya area of Agra. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, just doing what we do every day. When you walk in, you’ll see the three big mirrors and the old hydraulic chairs that sometimes squeak a bit when you adjust them. It’s not a fancy place, but it stays clean enough. Agra gets really hot in the summer, so we keep the ceiling fans going full speed all day long. You can hear the traffic outside from the main road, the bikes honking and the rickshaws going by. Mostly, it’s just the sound of scissors clicking and the radio playing some songs in the background. People from around the neighborhood come in, sit on the wooden bench, and wait their turn while reading the local paper. We have a few shelves with different combs and some spray bottles filled with water. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we’re always sweeping it up into a corner. It’s a simple routine, opening up early and staying until the sun goes down. Most of the guys who come here have been doing so for years, and they know where everything is. It's just a regular hair cutting place where we try to get the job done right. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights, just the name Rihan Hair Cutting Saloon outside so people know they found the right door.
