R B Parlour

R B Parlour is situated in the Narayach area of Agra. We are very close to the Sabji Mandi, so you can always hear the vegetable sellers shouting throughout the day. It makes the location very lively. The shop is a basic place for men’s grooming. We have been here for some time now. It is a small room with the usual barber chairs and mirrors. We handle haircuts, shaves, and the occasional head massage. Most of the people who come here are workers from the market or people living in the Narayach houses. We are not a high-end parlour. It is a place where you can come as you are, have a seat, and get a quick trim. The floor is usually covered in some hair because we are busy, but we sweep it up every hour or so. We have a small radio that plays old songs while we work. It is a simple atmosphere. My brother and I manage the shop together. We learned the trade from our father. Agra is a big city, but this little corner feels like a small village because everyone knows everyone else. We do not do any fancy styling, just what looks neat and tidy. We open early in the morning before the market gets too crowded and stay open until the sun goes down. It is just a regular shop doing regular work for regular people.
