Om Sai Traders

Our shop is at No. 215 on Jaupura Road in Lakhen Pur. We are quite close to Raghuveer Saran Degree College, so we see a lot of students walking by every day. It’s a busy road and there’s always something happening outside. We deal with various goods as traders and our space is usually filled with crates and sacks. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get around sometimes. We have a simple desk where we keep our books and a phone that rings more than it should. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. We start our day by sweeping the front and checking what arrived overnight. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and loading them onto rickshaws or small trucks. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when things are slow and talk to the neighbors. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and everyone around knows us. We don't do much advertising; people just know we’re here. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living. We try to be fair with everyone and just keep the business running smoothly day after day. When the college lets out, the noise picks up, and that’s usually when we start thinking about closing for the day. It is just regular work.
